Franklins For Breakfast Temporary Closed Information

If you’ve ever been curious about a local breakfast spot with character, quirky charm, and mixed reviews from the community, Franklins For Breakfast Temporary Closed in Warm Springs, Georgia, is exactly that kind of place. Situated at 3830 Whitehouse Pkwy, this diner-style breakfast restaurant and bar has become something of a local topic - and not just because it’s currently not serving customers as of its temporary closure.

Regulars and visitors alike often remark on the unique atmosphere the location once offered, combining a southern breakfast menu with a cozy, history-rich vibe that nods to the town’s heritage. On paper, the extensive menu had plenty to explore, from classic pancakes and waffles to hearty omelets, biscuits and gravy, and burgers that locals sometimes raved about in past reviews. One of the restaurant’s most consistent highlights was the idea of breakfast served all day - a dream for early birds, late risers, and road-trippers passing through Meriwether County.

But anyone who’s eaten there will tell you that the experience has been a bit of a mixed bag. Some reviewers absolutely loved the welcoming staff and generous portions, especially the huge pancakes that could easily fill up a hungry appetite. Friendly service and the comfortable indoor and outdoor seating made it a pleasant place to relax over morning coffee or brunch with friends. On the flip side, others mentioned inconsistent food quality, with burnt breakfast items and lukewarm coffee dampening their visit. A few even noted limited menu availability during later hours or slower-than-expected service on busier days.

Part of what made this spot special was its location in the heart of Warm Springs - close to other favorite local stops - and the way it mixed casual diner comfort with a sizable breakfast and lunch menu. Whether you were craving eggs and grits at the crack of dawn or a late brunch burger in the early afternoon, the place seemed ready to serve it all when open.

While it’s currently closed until further notice, many in the community are hopeful that it will reopen and return to offering the classic comfort food and laid‑back atmosphere that some guests loved. In the meantime, it’s remembered as a local eatery that had its share of both delicious moments and learning curves.

What People's Say About Place

I drive by Franklin's once or twice a week and finally had a chance to stop in to eat breakfast with my family. Everything was great! The SOS, pancakes, bacon, eggs, grits and hash browns were all excellent. The pancakes were huge! The prices were reasonable, lower than any restaurant in Woodbury. We'll be back. My wife says we should go every Saturday. Our server was on point, keeping our drinks full and checking on us just enough to let us know she was there when needed, but not so much to deter from our great meal. All the staff smiled and wished us a great day.

This place has so much charm right in the heart of Warm Spring GA. This was our first time dining here, and breakfast until 3pm is what attracted us to Franklin's. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile and took us to our table. She was prompt to get our drinks and orders. She did let us know that everything was made fresh to order and it would take about 15 to 20 mins for our food to come out. We were in no hurry. Our food came out and everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was prompt to refill our drinks and a manager came by to make sure we were pleased with everything. We will definitely eat here again next year when passing through. This little town was pleasing.

Soooo, firstly, coffee to drink for starters.....annnnnnd the coffee was cold, I didn't understand that. My wife ordered an omelet and asked for american cheese, but got chedder cheese? I didn't understand that either because there is a distinct difference between the two. I ordered the SOS with wheat bread....buuuuut, I received white bread, which me and my toilet both understand that I must not eat white bread, IF you know what I mean. And I thought the SOS toast was supposed to be toasted, but mine wasn't. White bread and wheat bread aren't hard to distinguish between one another. UPDATE: Order a little bit of the same food as the first visit, and the food was fabulously delicious! Coffee was hot, and the food came out as expected. My beautiful wife ordered French toast, eggs over medium, and skillet potatoes, which were delicious. I ordered the same SOS on wheat bread with sausage crumbles. The picture on the right was from today's visit (7-27-2024).

Honored to be the first person to leave a review. I was in town visiting and wanted to grab something to eat since I heard that they were now open. I took a look at the menu and noticed that the prices were very reasonable. That was a nice surprise. I ordered a single burger with cheese and bacon. I was surprised at how tasty it was. The bread had a good taste to it and the meat tasted well too. It was fresh beef and it was a very hefty burger, especially for the price. The fries are home cut and thick, they were okay, I personally like a different type of fry. I also tried the Fallah Dog with chili and slaw. What I didn’t know is that the Fallah Dog is actually a cut up beef hot dog on a toasted bun. Nonetheless, it was good! The hot dog itself was good as well as the chili and slaw. Overall I was pleased with everything. I went on the restaurant’s 3rd day of being open and felt like they were doing a good job. I will go there again and recommend to others.

Swung in for a quick bit so we could hit some hiking trails. Basic down home menu. Summer, our waitress was friendly and got our food out quickly. Tina sandwich was good, as was the cheese omelette. But hey, how far off can you be with those, lol ?

So glad we found this place.... Fun, friendly waitstaff! They have a lot of FDR memorabilia to enjoy while you eat! Oh, and the food was great, too!
